Firefly Art Camp

Embark on an adventure in a galaxy far, far away...
Join us, young space explorer, as we paint, draw, and sculpt our way outta the galaxy! Along the way, we'll draw friends like R2-D2 and BB-8, make our own space diorama complete with painted and glittered Styrofoam planets, and create galaxy slime! If you love paint, pastels, and outer space, you won't want to miss out on this Galactic Adventure Art Camp!
Love paint, but hate the mess? Send your kiddo to camp, and we'll take care of all the clean-up!
Camp Hours
9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Age Requirements
Our camps are open to students grades K-6. Must be age 5 at time of camp. In most cases, students will be grouped at camp into grades K-2 and 3-6.
What to Bring
Dream Enrichment will provide all art-quality supplies. All you will need to pack is a water bottle, lunch, and a snack. We are a nut-free camp, so please keep this in mind when packing a lunch and snack. Thank you!

Through the windshield
In this project done over various stages, kids will enjoy drawing the planets on black velour paper and pasting it on to a drawing paper where the details of the inside of the aircraft are filled in. The colors and details to be added to the velour paper are endless and are only limited by our space explorer’s creativity.
Toilet Paper Tube Creations
Who knew we could have so much fun with a regular, old toilet paper tube? Kids get to be as creative as they want, experimenting with google eye, pop poms, pipe cleaners, and construction paper. The result, a craft that is out of this world .
Galaxy Slime
How can a space adventure camp ever be complete without galaxy slime? This gluey, glittery, galaxy slime is so soft and sparkly that the kids will love every minute of making it and would hate to put it away.
Paint
We start every day of camp with some sort of unstructured paint time. You can rest easy that your child will be able to unleash his or her creative side at camp and the best part is... we do all the cleanup!Register Today to receive:

With our worry-free enrollment, transfer and cancellation policies, you can sign up early and rest easy knowing there’s plenty of fun and innovation in store for your kids this summer—and plenty of flexibility for you in the meantime.
When registering for camp, you have two options:
Option 1: Purchase Cancellation Insurance
If I purchase cancellation insurance this allows the camp registration to be canceled for any reason, 5 working days before the start
of the camp, for a full refund of the tuition paid, less the cost of insurance. Any cancellations done in the week prior to the camp
will only be refunded if my child is unable to attend camp because of an illness, and supported by a doctor's note. I understand and
accept that in the event of my child becoming ill, I may receive a gift credit of the program fee, less any discounts.
To receive this credit, I understand that I must provide a doctor’s note to Dream Enrichment. The gift credit expires 15 months from
the start date of the original program.
Option 2: Do not purchase Cancellation Insurance
If I decide not to purchase cancellation insurance:
1. Withdrawing before June 1st : I receive a 75% credit to use towards future sessions. (Expires in 15 months)
2. Withdrawing after June 1st: Only option is to transfer to an available camp. Transfer can be made any time until 3 PM seven days before the start of your camp session, pending availability.

I understand and accept that there are no transfer fees when transferring to another Dream Enrichment camp with open space. Discounts will also be transferred as courtesy on any transfer. If there is a difference in price between the two programs, I understand that I must pay any cost difference between the program prices. If the new program is less expensive, a Dream Enrichment gift credit (expiring 15 months from the earliest program’s start date) will be issued. If Cancellation Insurance was purchased for this program, the gift credit may be processed as a refund instead. Cancellation Insurance will automatically be transferred to the new program registration; however Cancellation Insurance may not be added if it wasn’t on the original registration.

If you love LEGOs and you can’t wait to design your own secret headquarters, you’ve just got to join us this summer!
Tired of buying kit after kit from LEGO? Let us provide the supplies and inspiration to get your little one inventing all week.

LEGO Secret Passage
Gotta love a secret passage! How else would we help keep our superhero headquarters secret? This project will test our skills, as we find a way to create a secret passage using a pulley system. Use this hand-held micro-controller to code for variables, conditionals, loops and other familiar software constructs, and involve servo-motors, motion-sensors, blue-tooth and other hardware sensors to create exciting projects where you can see your program and the micro:bit interact seamlessly as the code manifests in the real world. Join us as we light up LEDS in a pattern of our choice, send messages to our friends over a micro:bit radio, make gadgets like inch worms, door alarms, statistical counters, and more to truly understand the limitless opportunities of portable computing.
Last year our Tech camps sold out. Act fast - you won’t want to miss out this year!
Camp Hours
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Age Requirements
Micro:bit Robotics Camp is open to children ages 7-12. Must be age 7 at the time of camp.
What to Bring
Micro:Bit Robotics Lab will provide all camp activity supplies. All you will need to provide is water bottle, lunch and a snack. We are a peanut-free camp, so please keep this in mind when packing a lunch and snack. Thank you!

micro:bit Step-Counter
The neat thing about the micro:bit is that once you load the program into it, it does not have to stay connected with the computer anymore to run the program. We will use this convenient feature to build many gadgets like a simple step counter. All you need to do is to write the code, download it to the micro:bit, disconnect, use it as a step counter, and let the magic amaze you.
Micro:bit Inch-worm Race
Time to race, but first let’s collaborate, design, build, and improvise. Once we have our inch worms in tow, we race the other groups to see how we did with our design. The goal is to observe, learn, and tweak until we bring forth our best version of the design. This simple challenge is not just meant to challenge, collaborate, and think out of the box, but also to trouble shoot and have loads of fun while doing so.
Did you know? This camp has a 1:1 technology ratio. Your child will be provided with all accessories that they won't need to share!

Cancellation Insurance will automatically be transferred to the new program registration; however Cancellation Insurance may not be added if it wasn’t on the original registration.

Stop Motion Camp

Ready…Set….Lego!
Easily our most fun camp, this camp brings in the most spontaneous and impromptu movie production experience without fail every summer. Produce a LEGO stop-motion animation movie with your favorite Marvel characters this summer and see what all the hoopla is about! Use LEGO bricks, LEGO minifigures, and special video-capture software to bring your LEGO dreams to life. Campers will express their creativity by developing stories with different characters, backgrounds, and sounds! Here we will learn how to make characters move on screen, add breathtaking backgrounds, artificial sounds, and overlay explosions! Movies will be saved on a USB drive, to share with friends and family after camp!
Does your child LOVE Lego Action Movies? Maybe it’s time for them to make their own Lego Action movie!
Camp Hours
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Age Requirements
Stop-Motion Camp is open to children ages 8-12. Must be age 8 at the time of camp.
What to Bring
Dream Enrichment will provide all art-quality supplies. All you will need to pack is a water bottle, lunch, and a snack. We are a nut-free camp, so please keep this in mind when packing a lunch and snack. Thank you!

Basics of Production
Campers will write and produce their own stop-motion animation LEGO Harry Potter movie using minifigures, bricks, and changeable backgrounds. We'll discuss the number of frames needed to move a character smoothly across the frame, and then advance into techniques such as overlaying sound effects.
Introducing the Green Screen!
We know that every camper starts out at a different skill level and will progress at their own pace. To challenge students who advance quickly, we'll cover techniques related to green screening, which will open up our LEGO Harry Potter movie up to even bigger and better effects!
Did you know? This camp has a 1:1 technology ratio. Your child will be provided with a laptop and webcam that they won't need to share!

Junior Robotics Camp

Shift your child’s love of LEGO into the next gear!
Love Legos? Love using computers to make things happen? Then you are in luck. Campers will build and program LEGO robots to think, move, and react through a series of automation challenges. Campers use dedicated laptops and LEGO WEDO robotics kits to learn several aspects of engineering: automation, problem-solving, and programming. While LEGO robots remain at camp, photos of all robots and LEGO creations are presented at the end of the week, and project photos are sent home after camp.
LEGO lovers will love incorporating movement into their builds with elementary programming commands!
Camp Hours
9:00 AM - 12 noon
Age Requirements
Junior Robotics Camp is open to children ages 7-12. Must be age 7 at the time of camp.

Programming Patterns & Modeling
Projects taught at camp will present programming in an intuitive way – letting students bring their creations to life, while sharpening their pattern-recognition and modeling skills. The software also features a colorful drag-and-drop interface that is easy for students to use and understand.
Programming Motion
Using a Bluetooth enabled motor, campers will be able to program their creations to move forward, back, clockwise, and tilt. A motion sensor will also be used at camp as a range detector, changing what our build does, if an object is close or far away.
