A Velour Jellyfish!

This week we dove into the deep sea to create a jellyfish! We drew on velour paper, with oil pastels using colored construction paper to give our artwork dimension.

We discussed contrast and saturation as we designed our jellyfishes. Touching our velour projects was fun, but touching a real jellyfish would not be!

This project included:

  • Brainstorming what color our jellyfish is and if any other friends are swimming around
  • Getting creative with this multimedia project to saturate our velour paper with pops of color
  • Getting creative with this multimedia project to saturate our velour paper with pops of color

Family Activity:

Want to splash into some ocean jokes together?

Why did SpongeBob bring musical instruments to Jellyfish Fields? Because Jellyfish love to jam!

What's the difference between a guitar and a fish? You can't tuna fish!

How do you make an Octopus laugh? With ten-tickles!

Thanks for stopping by this week! We would love to see you soon!
